The Blog I sent out recently "A Global Call to Prayer not just a US Call to Prayer" has provoked considerable response. Unusually, I felt that this thoughtful reply deserved to be read by my readers. Well wort
h a first hand perspective and to focus our thoughts on what is at stake.
“Great reset”
I used to live in the former socialist country of (ex)Yugoslavia.
I am 50 years old, graduate from the School of Economy (University of Zagreb).
Everything I have been reading and hearing about the “Great reset”, it “smells, looks and tastes” like Socialism! Back in Socialist’s 80’s I was a Christian believer threatened and bullied by Communist Party’s leaders to join the Party, and renounce God, or else.... I would not have a proper job once I was to graduate, if any at all!! Let me remind you that in Socialism there is only ONE EMPLOYER - Communist Party. If they say you are not “podoban” (Croatian word for being in line with Socialist/Marxist teachings and practices) - then you CAN NOT get a job! Plain and Simple.
There were no free elections, no political parties allowed besides CP, no freedom of speech, no media/journalistic freedom, no freedom to express your faith, publicly, and the economy was in total ruin, after 40-45 years of Socialists mismanagement. But, there was a “FAITH/RELIGION Test” for just about everything that matters, there were some kind of “social credits” where 100% of your public time (and family-private) activities/statements/comments had to be in line with the Communist Party’s or else.....
Between 1979-1990 Yugoslav Socialists’ leaders ordered and carried out (only one part that we have documents for) 200 political murders in Western Europe alone! Those individuals were active politically: liberals, conservatives, social democrats etc. alike.
All were in danger, who were not “strictly”, on “the party line” of the Marxism.
That is a real danger I see coming again!
Beware of the people who in name of their, often twisted, version of the “greater good” justify or advocate a socialistic type of control in our democracies.
So, we do need to pray to continue to have and live in democracies.

I wrote in my last message:
“Beware of the people who in name of their, often twisted, version of the “greater good” justify or advocate a socialistic type of control in our democracies.”
“Greater good” - marxists and socialists used to teach me (I was forced to listen to Marxist and socialist classes in my primary/secondary education and in college!) that socialism is only the first step towards communism That Socialism/Marxism would eradicate poverty and inequality and all classes! Well, they did exactly the opposite! They created more classes and inequality and injustice!
Now, let’s see historical facts: before WWII Yugoslavia (1918-1941) was capitalistic, parliamentary monarchy. Economists argue that around 20% were in poverty (inequality). Those “have nots” as [liberals] put it. That Yugoslavia (first one) was closely following economic statistics in all categories (GDP, literacy and like) of other capitalistic countries 1938.
Let’s see socialist Yugoslavia (second Yugoslavia) (1945-1990): just like Venezuela for the last 15 years, in 80’ in Ex Yugoslavia there were different classes (very much like India’s social system):
The ruling class (communist/socialist/Marxist elite) who dictated, mandated and legislated their vision of “government-socialists’ total control over economy and whole political system” and they hugely enriched themselves by stealing for their families (put the titles/deed in their name) the biggest houses, apartments and villas from honest hard working previous owners.
Then there was another class, one step lower, around 30% of population, who have tried to obey the ruling Marxist elite out of ideological bias - they had believed in socialism and Marxism!
Then there was the third class: another 30% who said something like: let’s see how it works, it all sounds fantastic (socialists/marxists utopia). Only a few years after Socialists/Marxists took over, that group bitterly regretted. (Mostly people who did not own much prior the socialists’ revolution).
Then there was 4th class: a staunch anti communists. They had almost no rights whatsoever (for example they were not allowed to get a government job which in reality meant no job since The Government was the only employer) for at least 20-30 years after socialists/marxists had assumed a power.
Lastly, there were Christian and other believers ( Jewish, Muslims..): not allowed to any top position in business, politics, media.... nowhere, constant oppression, ideological pressure to give up on God, secret communist police spying on us etc...
I see that coming again, this time around to your countries who have not experienced the horrors of Marxism and socialism!
