What does reformation look like? Elijah's fiery altar led to the destruction of the evil system of Ahab and Jezebel - our cry is to "Throw Jezebel Down". To move in reformation power to tear down evil, partner with Jesus to destroy the works of satan, and build back better in real Kingdom. In this session we start to look at what Kingdom Reformation looks like.
We look at some of the key characteristics of reformation:
It is established first in the heavenlies. In order to be reformation, what we are doing has to be aligned with our calling and anointing. David’s anointing and calling as King came first. Jesus calling his disciples came first.
Any work of reformation is established in heavenly presence - John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus. Nazarite -prayer and fasting- is part of the process to anchor any work of reformation in heavenly presence.
Heavenly Map- any work of the spirit in reformation needs to fully acknowledge spirit world realities. Our map must include and draw upon spirit world truths - our eyes must be open to the spiritual realities like Elisha's servant. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 2 Kings 6:16-17
We must shift to a warfare economy. We are in an existential battle and the trumpet of warning and war has sounded. We must study war and war principles so we can engage with Jesus to destroy the works of satan. This is not a season to try to be loved by the world and "fit in". We must raise a righteous standard and lift the name of Jesus.
Reformation is not an accident and does not just happen. Reformation is the work of destruction and rebuilding after victory.
