I thought a short excerpt from my pending book was relevant for some of us today. Take it to heart at this time!
What about those of us that have got it all wrong and have rushed ahead and are in a total mess? Or, what if revelation has shown you that the success in your hands may not be as a result of victory through the power of God but through your own efforts? What if you are successful but have missed truly knowing God in the process? Be assured that God is the great restorer and that He is more than able to untangle the issues of your life and business no matter how severe. Repent and bring your mess to Him (review the chapter on Concluding the Past), but in summary, He is faithful and just to forgive your sins and clean up all of your unrighteousness. Think about the Prodigal Son who came back from a total mess to his father who restored him fully even though he felt he could maybe only be a servant. Maybe you have missed the mark and feel you have missed the calling and feel that all that is left for you is to maybe assist in some small way. Your failure is a failure only in relation to your aspirations and your plans! God’s way is still there for us and He will restore and make all things new no matter how bad things are.
Prayer: Father, I am sorry that I have run ahead of your plan and not sought your will or your direction for each step of its implementation. Forgive me for having a worldly view of success and not victory through your power. Forgive me and my family lines for doing this and not giving you lordship in this. I stop now and listen to your voice and direction and make you Lord of my life and calling. Show me your way, your strange and perhaps alien way and I covenant to walk in it as you direct. Untangle and untie the issues and problems that have arisen as I run to you like the prodigal son. I leave behind my plans and my solutions and my goals and my success or failure and accept the role and mantle that you have for me. Guide me each step of the way as I do your will.
